Several of our out-of-town and international patients plan a two day or more stay in order to have a safe and successful recovery. Other patients often prefer to stay even longer to enjoy their trip and visit areas in Southern California such as Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Irvine, and Bakersfield.

Q: What is the best way to contact the Orbital Center of Excellence if I live outside the U.S.?
A: Travelling patients are able to call the listed phone number for our outpatient surgery center, but the best way to contact us is via email (in our contact form). Our offices will strive to respond within 24 hours. To schedule your appointment, we require your contact information prior to booking your consultation.
Q: How soon after my surgery can I board a long flight, including an international flight?
A: Depending on the details of your procedure, we may recommend that you stay in a recovery center such as Pearl Recovery for a short period of time following your surgery, before you can board a long haul flight. This is to ensure your comfort and safety, as well as the success of your recovery. Usually, this time can be anywhere between a day and a week, depending on your unique case.
Q: What if I need to acquire a visa or passport in order to travel to your surgery center in Beverly Hills?
A: For international patients, we offer all-inclusive services to assist you throughout the process, including a travel agent who can coordinate your visa, passport and any other travel documents, along with flight, hotel and transportation arrangements.
Q: What is the best way to get to the Orbital Surgery Center of Excellence?
A: Our surgery center is located at La Peer Health Systems, which is on Wilshire Boulevard in Beverly Hills. There are a few different ways to travel to the surgery center. Patients who fly into Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) or Bob Hope Airport in Burbank can take a short taxi or limousine ride to the surgery center, while patients traveling within California also have the option to take the Amtrak train as well.
